She Said Beauty Box - August 2012

I am at home today, and I was waiting for my She Said beauty box to arrive. At 2pm my postman rang the door bell! Yayyyyyyy - every month I think I'll get over it, but every month I am excited to receive my box and dive in. I only subscribe to She Said and I have a 6 month subscription and this is the second month of my subscription.

Now right off I must admit I am one of those who looks straight away and then trawls through blogs and YouTube looking for a glimpse of the boxes (yes I need help!!) so I knew kinda what to expect.

She said doesn't have the crazy variety in boxes that some other companies do, but this month it was between a Nails Inc. polish or nail wraps, and although I am a nail polish junkie I must admit I am hard pushed to fork out for nail wraps so I was actually hoping to get the wraps in this box so I could embellish my ring finger (yes I know I'm too old to copy the Pretty Little Liars - but not in my own head) ;)

So lets see what I got:

Yup I got the Nails Inc. :) I actually don't mind, and while we are on it lets take a look at the polish first:

 Nails Inc. nail polish in Shorditch:

I love this colour, I have never used Nails Inc. before and this is exactly why I am subscribed to this box so I can try new things, and this is defiantly a colour I will be using for what is left of the summer :)

balance Me intensive lip treatment in Rose:

I like lip products a lot and this is smooth and not sticky at all, and I do like the smell, but the smell and taste is a little too much for me when it is on my lips. I do not own this so I was happy to receive it, but I think that a lip product shouldn't have such a strong perfume. Saying that it's on my lips no and apart from the strong smell and taste, my lips do feel softer.

White Glo whitening toothpaste:

Honestly I think however much you spend on skincare or makeup, if your teeth aren't in the best possible condition it just doesn't look right, so I can understand why this toothpaste should be considered a beauty product, I will use this and if it is good I will post a review.

Papier Poudre blotting papers:

This paper reminds me of when I was 15 and they were fashionable, I have actually found that my t-zone has been oily this summer so I will definitely be trying this out - I just did, and OMGoodness I don't even want to tell you what the paper looked like after! these will be with me for the rest of the summer!

Redken colour extend multibenefit treatment spray for coloured hair:

I am always on the lookout for something to help tame my long frizzy tresses so I was very happy to see this in the box, a very generous 30ml of Redken a brand I have never tried but always wanted to. It is for coloured hair and as I have recently coloured my hair I am very happy and excited to try this out.

The Bonus:

Cologne 4711:

This is a tiny little bottle of cologne, I did not like the smell but as soon as I gave it to my mum to smell she lit up and said it reminds me of something. I have read in quite a few posts that people have said their mums have said the same thing, so all I can guess is at some time this was fashionable. As I said I didn't really like it so I will give it to my mum -but I love She Said for giving us bonus items every month, I hope they carry on :)

Overall I did like this box, it didn't overly excite me like the past boxes, but I don't hate it and it actually has items that I want to try or will definitely use - So roll on next month I can't wait xxx
